STL Schools face a major challenge here because the learning approaches they use might not blend very well with the teaching aspect. It’s very important to understand the right system and how to tackle it in an appropriate manner. This is hard for students too, because technical issues and a lack of interaction with the teacher can make learning stuff a lot harder.
Educators are overwhelmed
Shifting from regular to online learning is hard for teachers in St. Louis because they need to find new resources that are online only. Either that, or they have to shift all their current resources to online, which means a lot of work to be done. That overwhelms teachers and makes their work a lot harder.
Some ed-tech solutions are not the best

Not everyone has access to digital devices
While the overall digital exposure is increasing, not all St. Louis students have access to digital devices. That can make things very hard for them to learn, which in the end leads to all kinds of discrepancies and problems. Understanding these situations is very important, and it can make a difference if it’s all managed appropriately and in a great manner.
That being said, the Covid Pandemic brought some opportunities for students and teachers as well. This is a great test for digital and blended learning, systems that might be very useful in the future. On top of that, the learning materials will receive better curation. Education is definitely one of those topics that need improvement, and hopefully all the aforementioned challenges will be solved in the long term!
